Properties: Deliquesc crystals or crystalline masses. Slight acetous odor. d 1.07. mp 114° (Zuffanti, loc. cit.). Tends to lose NH3. Sol in less than 1 part water; freely sol in alc; slightly sol in acetone. Very concd aq soln is slightly acid; a 0.5 molar aq soln has pH 7.0. Keep cool and tightly closed. LD i.v. in mice: 1.8 mg (NH4+)/20g (Welch).
