Properties: White crystalline solid, mp 38.5-41°. Technical product is pale yellow viscous oil. Vapor pressure at 20°: 0.57′10-9 torr. Almost insol in water (0.0055 g/l). Soly in chloroform, diethyl ether, toluene, xylene: 2500 g/l; in acetone: 3500 g/l. LD50 in rats (mg/kg): 1600 orally; >5000 s.c.; 400-800 i.p.; LC50 (96 hour) in rainbow trout, bluegill (mg/l): 1, 2.2 (de Saint-Blanquat, My). Relatively non-toxic to bees.
