Properties: Yellow monoclinic or rhombic crystals. Sparingly sol in water; sol in dil acids; practically insol in alcohol. Also occurs as hemihydrate, monohydrate, and dihydrate.

Use: As a pigment, corrosion inhibitor; manuf of chromium; in oxidizing reactions; in battery depolarization.
