Syntor Fine Chemicals Ltd is active in the development and supply of fine chemicals to the Pharmaceutical, agrochemical, aroma and electronic industries. The existing product range and new products (developed in the UK) are manufactured by Joint Ventures (JV) and manufacturing partners in Asia and Europe. Technology is transferred to our partners via exclusive Intellectual Property (IP) transfer agreements.The main focus of the business is in the following product areas:Chloroalkylamine saltsSubstituted Aceto/benzophenonesAcid chloridesSubstituted Phenyl piperazinesSilicon derivatiesProducts are imported into UK from the manufacturing partner, after which they are repackaged (if necessary) and given final product QC testing and status. There is a guaranteed stock holding of all products, which are then distributed globally from UK. In most cases, products can be despatched within 24 hours.All "own" products are manufactured using Syntor Intellectual Property and Management Systems to ensure that the products are manufactured according to ISO9001:2000. All documentation is readily available for audit in UK prior to any site visit that might be required.Syntor still has a manufacturing facility in UK but this is essentially for blending operations only. The reason for closure of the main production facility was down to cost ? energy, H&S and environmental compliance, etc. As such it was decided to find suitable manufacturing partners who could fit in with our plans for the future. All our JV?s and manufacturing partners are small, privately owned companies with the ability to carry out certain key areas of our chemistry. In return for Intellectual Property, integrated management system development (QA, QC, H&S, Environment, etc), raw material finance, processing plant and equipment, we have signed exclusive supply agreements and strict confidentiality agreements on the technology we provide. The Indian JV company carries out toll / contract services to local Pharma companies and is not involved in the export of products outside India. The Chinese JV partners operate in a slightly different way as they do have other international customers, however, all Syntor products are supplied on an exclusive basis.Some products on our list are not ?own? products but traded items. These are products that are manufactured by our JV?s or manufacturing partners using their own technology and are exclusively sold under the Syntor name of Syntor Specialities. This company is separate to Syntor Fine Chemicals Ltd which only sells outsourced products made using our own Intellectual Property.
