Description:
It’s made by ethyl malonate,in the reaction flask,adding absolute ethanol 300mL, sodium metal 24.85g (1.08mol) stirring, after the reaction, a solution of diethyl malonate 80g (0.5mol), about 1h End ,water bath 15min, cooled solid precipitated. Solution of iodine oxide 156g (1.0mol), about 1h, step reflux 3h,. Ethanol was distilled off. Diluted with cold water and extracted with ether (75ml × 3). The combined ether extracts were washed with water, dried over anhydrous calcium chloride. The ether was distilled off, and then temperature distillation, collecting fractions of 218 ~ 222 ℃ to give diethyl malonate 。
